HOW DO I APPLY FOR BUILDING OR DEMO PERMIT?

  • Visit or call your Municipal Office to find out what type of by-laws, zoning restrictions or applicable law might apply to your project

  • Prepare drawings and a site plan which accurately describe the construction you want to do. You may need to hire a professional (Designer or Engineer) to prepare drawings for you depending on your project

  • Fill out a Building Permit Application

  • Bring completed application with drawings to your municipal office. A non-refundable deposit is required for all permit applications

  • Visit the FORMS section of this website to obtain the Building Permit application, spec examples and more!

APPROVAL PROCESS

  • Once the application is completed the Building Department will review the application and drawings

  • If any information is missing or unclear we will contact you and work with you to obtain the correct information

  • You must pay for the permit in full before it is considered valid

  • Please post your sign in a highly visible area and make sure to call us at 705-563-2426 or email at admin@tembuild.com for your prescribed inspections indicated on the Building Permit
